Création d’un bâtiment de bureaux administratifs de l’université Cheik Anta Diop à Dakar. L’administration marque l’angle du campus et constitue donc un symbole important pour le campus. Le rez-de-chaussée est sur pilotis pour surelever le bâtiment du sol afin de permettre une connexion visuelle entre l’avenue et le campus. La typologie de bâtiment à patio permet d’avoir un espcae central ombragé et protegé. La façade est protegée par des brise-soleil en béton préfabriqué et la toîture par une sur-toiture en tôle réfléchissante.
New administration building for the Campus of the University of Dakar. The Cheikh Anta Diop University was built for 6000 students, but hosts today 80 000 students. The campus is overpopulated and lack facilities as study rooms, cafés or other spaces for social activities. We designed office spaces elevated from the ground and organized around a patio. Protected by a planted buffer zone behind a second skin of vertical elements, from a cruelly heating sun and a buzzling street. The groundfloor becomes a part of the campus exterior space. In the shadow of the office levels this open space is given to the students for free use.
